S is for Spare Change

Spare Change
Eyes open—propped with latte’s, cropped with bag-and-sag removing eye-opening work
Paid for yearly, dearly, from the surgeons hands.
But they don’t see him on the corner with his cardboard sign.
A sign of what’s to come. What is. His. Nothing.
Need for everything but Need…

Q is for Quality

I find it interesting that the first definition of Quality is a comparison. It’s Better than. It’s no wonder so many are concerned with the opinion of others. However the second definition is about a Distinctive attribute…that which makes it different.

P is for Pathetic – Selfie Science?

I really try to look on the bright side and share the good stuff, but I can’t help it. I must rant for a moment. It’s a pretty and cute rant… *sighs* Flattering Selfie Angle Science. Okay…?

K is for Kindred Spirits

Thanks for celebrating my book launch with me…Photo is vintage 1934 from the Archives of the Likness family. The gal on the left is my mom, and the son of the gal on the right sent me this photo after he found some photos I had posted from the same era tagged with my mom’s name. He searched for her name from where it was written on the back of this photo and he contacted me from info on my blog. I was able to send him a few more from the old Vancouver, B.C. neighborhood where our grandparents and parents lived in the early ’30s. And he sent me this one and some others. Such random wonders and serendipitous connections come from the www.

C is for Cramming & Compensation

B is for Bujold, Lois McMaster Bujold

Lois McMaster Bujold has long been my favorite author, but today she became one of my favorite people. I sent an email to her last night just before midnight – truly at the eleventh hour – to ask if I could include an excerpt from her novel, …Not only did Lois give permission, she replied to me this morning.

Already Amazed
