Tale of the Seasons’ Weaver – Book Review

I wish I was a faster reader, but some books and authors are worth the time it takes to follow their amazing stories from beginning to end. I highly recommend this new release from author, D. Wallace Peach. It not only has engaging characters, is well-paced and set in a visually stunning world, but it insightfully reveals the seasons of life and inner struggles that we all face and hope to conquer. It’s a compelling story that I related to deeply.

Tale of the Seasons’ Weaverby D. Wallace Peach – Review

This story and its world are as cleverly and imaginatively woven as if the half human, half charmed seasons’ weaver, Erith, created it in her most glorious moment of inspiration. The friendships and moments of self-reflection are as heartfelt as the perilous moments are dire. Like the seasons of nature, the seasons of life are insightfully revealed in the magical and viscerally real struggle between the charmed and the humans, and within Erith herself.

Each side’s follies and desperate grasp at survival brings war. Erith’s stubborn denial of her talent, and her refusal to believe in her strength and meaning, bring both near extinction. Inordinate courage is needed to save those she holds dear, and indeed her world – courage beyond her self-focused fears and isolation. She must reach for allies in unlikely places and the kindness in faces she’d known all along. And she must choose to reach deep within herself to find strength that lay untested to bring them together to strive for light in the darkness, a hope against hope.

The dormant times of seeming helplessness, excruciating times of suffering loss, determined and hopeful times of growing strength and rewarding times of well-earned abundance, flow exquisitely through the poetic prose, stunning world and captivating characters created by D. Wallace Peach, propelling us to consider the wild seasons of our own lives and world, as if by magic.

  2. Thank you so much for the beautiful review, Sheri. It reads like poetry! You are so kind to read and review (and it didn’t take you that long, really!). I’m over the roof thrilled that you enjoyed the story and the character’s growth. I wanted to write a story about the real life magic that happens when we transform our limiting narratives to empowering ones. I’m so glad that came across. Thank you, thank you for your kindness, my friend. You made my day! ❤

  3. My pleasure, Diana! It helped to get a copy while I had a little extra time to read. That’s such a great theme for a story. One all of us can relate to.
