NIWA Book Booth

It was such fun selling books with NIWA (Northwest Independent Writers Association) this past weekend at the Tacoma Home & Garden show. It may seem an odd place to sell books, but we were very well received. The crowd was eclectic and interested in some of everything – which is exactly what we had to offer. It’s always a pleasure to spend the day with fellow authors, and a big thanks to all who bought books. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with everyone who stopped by. Thanks for coming!

    1. I think you’d like these folks, Diana. Original based in OR and still most of the activities are in OR or southern WA. You might want to check them out and consider joining…but no pressure!

      1. I’ve looked into joining before and should again. It’s just hard for me to get out since I live in the boonies. 🙂

    2. That’s one of the things I like about this group. They have a very active members only FB page with lots of tips and camaraderie, and you can participate by simply shipping books to an event co-ordinator a paying a small fee per book or volunteer to work at them. They list your books and author bio online nicely and offer other promo perks like the Featured Author spot etc. I’ve found a lot of benefit for the reasonable membership fee. The listing alone seems worth the annual membership to me. Still no pressure. 🙂

      1. Thanks for the info, Sheri. That does sound like a lot of benefit, and I like the idea of connecting “locally” even without the benefits. Thanks so much! I’m going to swing over before I forget. 🙂
